Experience in Taekwondo
Background
Starting off learning taekwondo for confidenence Leslie, Lucas’ father, and Lucas himself would never imagine the opportunities and experiences that came of simply wanting some more confidence. Lucas join Kang Han Hucknall not even wanting to enter the dojang, two years later he was on the mat for his first poomsae competition. Under tutelage of Grand Master Lennox and many others, Lucas’ poomsae prowess grew, making the GB squad at the age of 8 and having a European debut 5 years later. Lucas is forever thankful for the ones who have supported him on his journey and wishes to continue pursuing his dreams.
2015 until Present
Starting Taekwondo in late 2015, Lucas has gone over Europe and the UK, in 2024 winning a total of 15 golds and 1 silver in domestic and international competitions.
2023
Lucas was selected by Greab Britain taekwondo poomsae squad, to represent Great Britian in the European Championships in Innsbruck, Austria. Lucas and his team had an outstanding performance coming back to Britain as European Champions reclaiming the title GB had in that category.
2018-2024
Selected into the Great Britian National Poomsae squad, where in 2023 Lucas competed as a GB athlete in Germany and the European Championships.
